I did something this last week that has worked really well for me. Five minute bursts of work. I’d set a time for five minutes and spend that time working on some small task in the house. By doing this, I scrubbed my sink, my stovetop, swept/mopped my kitchen, vacuumed, dusted, did some general picking up, and lopped a tree behind my a/c unit that just will not die.
It was a little surprising to me what I could get done in those few minutes. It was a good reminder that I often make things harder than they need to be. I can get much more done than I think I can by putting a few focused minutes into working on it.
I’m even thinking that I could do 2-3 minute bursts and get a lot accomplished even in that short amount of time.
