I’ve finally broken somewhat out of my reading rut and have managed to finish a couple of books recently.

“Defeating your Greatest Opponent” was written by an acquittance of mine that I met through work, Kelly Renee’ Baker.

The basic premise of the book is that we are often our own greatest opponent. There is just so much wisdom in this book. I felt like I was highlighting every other passage.

I wanted to share a couple of the passages that really struck my heart:

“Fear can be a thief that robs you of the life God intended for you if you allow it”

“The real battle is to defeat my own mind”

“YOU are your greatest opponent. We are each our own greatest opponent”.

“A head full of fears has no space for dreams”.

Kelly walks you through some decisions you must make in order to defeat your greatest opponent and live the life that God intended for you.

This book really touched my heart and I would recommend it to anyone who is struggling.
