Well, I told you guys this was going to be interesting and Saturday morning, it got ramped up to a while new level of interesting.
I had a date scheduled for Saturday afternoon. We were going to meet about halfway between our locations. Needless to say, I was very nervous and not sleeping well early Saturday morning.
Then I get a video call from the guy and we talk a bit. Then he sends me a message asking how big my um….chest area is. I do not reply. I am not sure if he’s trying to be funny or what.
He texts me and ask me why I haven’t answered him and I just say that I don’t know what to say.
Then he replies with a picture. And not of his face. I won’t traumatize another person with what the text of the message said. I blocked and deleted him.
There had been a couple of other things that had happened that already had me second-guessing whether I wanted to go on the date or not and I should have trusted my gut.
When I am working with child care providers, I always tell them to “follow their guts”. And that anytime I did not follow my instincts as a child care provider, I regretted it. Well, guess what? That goes for all of life.
Listen to your instincts! Trust them! They are there for a good reason, to protect you.
