Two years ago today, I started my new job with the North Central Child Care Resource & Referral as a Business Consultant.
It was my first “normal” job since the early 1990s. I had been self-employed or done contract work the entire time.
I am so thankful for this job. I feel like God put me in the exact place I need to be. The people I work with have become some of my closest friends and we build each other up and support each other every single day.
After running my own child care program for 25 years, getting to work with family child care homes and child care centers on their business is a dream come true for me. I miss working with children, but I absolutely love what I am doing now.
In one way or another, I have been involved in the early childhood field for over 30 years now.
Why wasn’t I smiling lol. First of all, I am terrible at selfies and second, I always forget to smile in them lol.
