Are you familiar with the song, “Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers.”.
What are your unanswered prayers? Did you find out that God had something better in mind for you than you had for yourself?
One of my big ones was when my first husband left, I kept hoping he would come back. But he did not, and God had Tom in mind for me. Tom and I had our struggles, but we also loved each other very much and had a wonderful life together.
Another one was two years ago when I was looking for a job. I had applied for one in Enid that I really wanted and I never even got called for an interview. I was not even going to apply for the job I have now, but a friend convinced me to go ahead and apply. As you know, I did, and I got the job. It did not take me very long to figure out that this is where I should be and God knew what He was doing.
There are many others that I cannot see what the good from it was yet (and may not ever see this side of Heaven). For example, I prayed for Tom’s complete healing. I wanted him to stay here with me so we could grow old together.
