Reading is one of my self-care activities and possibly the most important one for me. I can tell I’m struggling when I don’t take time to read for pleasure and instead spend my free time scrolling mindlessly through social media.

It’s important to know what your own self-care activities are. Make time for them, especially if you are a person who tends to be a caregiver for others. Caregivers tend to forget to take care of themselves and then burn out because they are so busy taking care of everyone else.
