I was watching a webinar on joy the other day. The speaker mentioned a question her mom used to encourage her to ask herself.
“What do you love right now?”.
The key is that it cannot be something from the past (like a good meal) or the future (something you’re looking forward to). It has to be something right that very moment.
That can be challenging.
Look around you right now and think of at least one thing you love right this moment.
For me at this very moment,
I love this blanket covering my feet.
I love the fact that I can sit on my couch and type on my laptop.
The purpose of the question is to help you be mindful and aware of what’s going on around you. We tend to spend so much time looking back and looking forward that we forget to be look right where we are right now.
So, what do you love right now?
