Happy Friday everyone! I’d be more excited about it if I wasn’t working tomorrow, ha. But I love these Saturday events we get to do for the family child care homes in our Resource & Referral region.
It was 32 years ago tonight that Tom and I went on our first date. We went to the bowling alley in Enid and we ate supper there. We met Tom’s friend Gaye who worked at the Hungry Bowler at the time. Both Tom and Gaye are gone now.
Little did I know that date would change the course of my life. Looking back on it makes me emotional, but also thankful. I don’t regret one minute of the time I got to spend with Tom. Being with him gave the kids and I the love we all needed. Tom cheered me on through all my educational endeavors, and I would not be where I am with the job I have now if he hadn’t been so supportive.
I know I say it a lot. But don’t take for granted the time you have with the people you love. It may all be gone tomorrow and all you’ve have left is the memories.
