How do these people find me?

Well, this whole internet dating thing has already been an experience and I am not even a month into it. These are some messages I got recently from a guy who had been messaging me. No really deep conversations or anything. Just a few days of casual back and forth and then this crap:

The best thing to hold onto in life is each other ❤️… I wish you can be mine forever

I have strong feelings for you and don’t mind spending my whole life with you

And then a little while later:

The impact of your love is undeniable. It has made me realize how much I adore you. My life with you has transformed my dreams into realities.

What in the world? I am guessing that if I had continued responding to him, it would have turned out to be a scammer. I just stopped answering. I suppose some women might find it flattering, but I find it creepy. I’m not saying that falling in love online is impossible, but I think it’s rare. Plus I am kind of cynical and skeptical by nature. So this kind of stuff makes me roll my eyes and say “Peace out”, lol.
