My first scammer

Well, I feel so official. This week I had my first scammer. I’ve been posting some of my poems on TikTok. There was a man who had commented and liked some of my videos and then messaged me.

We ended up emailing each other for a few days. I got a little suspicious when he asked me if I was a “God-fearing woman with a giving heart”. Then a couple of days later, he asked me for money to fix his iPad. He needed me to get him a $500 American Express gift card.

But don’t worry, he’s a God-fearing man and he’ll pay me back lol.

Of course, I immediately stopped responding, and then blocked and reported him.

I just have to laugh at these things when they happen to me. I mean, I may be a lonely, vulnerable, gray-haired widow. But I am NOT a dumb, lonely, vulnerable gray-haired widow lol.
