Pinkie and Blue Boy

My grandparents used to have prints of the paintings Pinkie and The Blue Boy. I was always fascinated by the paintings.

One year, my mom painted these ceramic replicas of the paintings for my grandma. After Grandmama died, these were one of the things I brought home. Not only are they a precious reminder of my grandma, they’re even more special because my mom painted the ceramic figurines..

Out of curiosity, I looked up information on the paintings and learned they had been done by two different artists. Since I had always seen them together, I thought they were done by the same artist.
